This support article provides instruction how to troubleshoot common connection and printing issues with the Dymo LabelWriter printers.

The troubleshooting steps below are structured to start with the physical connection the printer requires with the computer. Then adds additional steps to confirm the software is setup correctly. We recommend you follow the instructions below, in order for the quickest resolution of the issue you are experiencing.

Solution:

  1. Power connection: Confirm the Dymo LabelWriter printer is physically connected with the power cable. Disconnect and reconnect the power to confirm it is properly connected.
  2. Paper jam: Confirm that there is no paper jam with the paper spool. You should also force a feed reset by using the feed reset button to clear anything that may have triggered the sensor. Referenced below:

  6. Google Chrome permissions: Related to the Dymo Connect web service, you may need to reset the site permissions associated with the web app you are using with the Dymo printer.

  7. Print driver: Sometimes the print driver can be confused how the Dymo printer is configured with the signed in user (usually due to multiple users signed in previously). Performing a restart will address this problem.
